1Password is a subscription password manager for individuals, families and businesses. It stores passwords, passkeys, payment cards, identities and sensitive documents in encrypted vaults, with apps and browser extensions that help you save and autofill information across devices. Watchtower flags weak, reused or compromised passwords, while secure sharing and Travel Mode help with everyday account security.

Vault data is end-to-end encrypted and protected by an account password and Secret Key. Individuals can keep personal information private, while Families adds shared vaults and access management for household use. Separate team and business plans serve organisations.

New: 1Password for Agents introduces optional personal AI-agent integrations for Individual and Families accounts. A supported agent requests a login, you review and approve or deny access on your own device, and 1Password fills the password or one-time code into the sign-in form. According to 1Password, the agent does not receive or see the credential, and connecting an agent does not give it access to your whole vault. New account details can be saved in your vault.

Availability and setup vary by integration, region, device and sign-in method. The official page lists available connections alongside a waitlist for further integrations; support should not be assumed for every AI tool. These integrations are optional. After sign-in an agent may still see account information or take actions on the website, so review the task and account before approving access.

Choose 1Password for its combination of account password and Secret Key protection, convenient autofill, Watchtower alerts and controlled sharing. Personal AI-agent integrations extend that convenience to supported agent workflows without handing over credentials, while keeping approval with the user. They are optional, not a requirement for everyday password management.

The direct-site first-year promotion shows $2.99/month and $4.49/month respectively for new customers billed annually; app-store purchases are excluded. Families supports inviting up to five family members. A 14-day personal trial is available; separate team and business plans have their own pricing.
